Law Enforcement Request Guidelines

Last updated: July 14, 2026

1. Scope

These guidelines are for authorized government and law-enforcement agencies seeking records from Zoojly. Members seeking account help, reporting a safety concern, or exercising a privacy right should contact support@zoojly.com through the ordinary support process.

2. How to Submit a Request

Email requests to support@zoojly.com from an official government or agency email address with the subject line “Law Enforcement Request.” Each request should include:

  • The requesting officer's name, title, agency, badge or identification number, and official contact details.
  • The relevant case or reference number and the legal authority and jurisdiction for the request.
  • The specific Zoojly account identifier, such as an email address, and the records and date range requested.
  • A complete, signed copy of the applicable legal process and any legally imposed response deadline.

Requests should be narrowly tailored. Incomplete, overly broad, informal, or unverifiable requests may be delayed, rejected, or returned for clarification.

3. Accepted Legal Process

We review subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and other valid compulsory government process issued by an authority with jurisdiction over Zoojly. The process must be signed where required, identify the records sought, and state a lawful basis for the request. Requests from authorities outside the United States may need to use an applicable mutual legal assistance treaty, letter rogatory, or another legally recognized government-to-government process.

4. Preservation Requests

We will evaluate formal preservation requests that identify the relevant account, records, date range, legal authority, and requested preservation period. When legally valid and technically available, we preserve the specifically identified records for the period required by applicable law. Preservation alone does not authorize disclosure; a separate valid disclosure demand is required. Any extension must be submitted before the preservation period expires and must include the required legal basis.

5. Review and Disclosure

We review each request for authenticity, legal validity, jurisdiction, scope, and specificity. We may seek clarification, require different or additional legal process, narrow an overbroad request, or object when a request is defective or unlawful. We disclose only information covered by valid process and reasonably available to us. We may notify the affected member unless notice is legally prohibited or we reasonably believe notice would create a risk of harm, fraud, evidence destruction, or obstruction.

6. Emergency Requests

If an authorized agency believes there is an emergency involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, email support@zoojly.comwith “Emergency Law Enforcement Request” in the subject line. The request must come from an official agency address and explain the emergency, the specific information sought, how that information may prevent the harm, the account involved, and the requesting officer's direct contact information. Emergency disclosure requests are evaluated case by case and honored only when permitted by law.

7. Private and Civil Requests

We do not provide account information to private parties through this channel. Private litigants and their representatives must use valid civil legal process and serve it as required by applicable law. We may object to requests that are invalid, overbroad, unduly burdensome, or inconsistent with user privacy rights.
